Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) – November 2019

Further to the announcement last month, Swire Shipping continues to take steps to ensure that the vessels we operate will be fully compliant with IMO2020 regulations. As part of this changeover, Swire Shipping now has increased requirements for the more expensive IMO2020 compliant fuel types.

As a result, Swire Shipping wishes to advise that the Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) applicable for Asia Trades will increase as follows for the month of November 2019:

Swire Asia Trades

USD 770 / TEU

USD 1540 / FEU

USD 38.50 / RT (Breakbulk / LCL)

The above surcharge will apply for all consignments showing a Swire Shipping Bill of Lading date of 1 November 2019 or later for connections to/from Asia and:

• Australia

• East Timor

• Fijis

• Micronesia

• New Caledonia

• New Zealand

• Papua New Guinea

• Solomon Islands

• Vanuatu

• Majuro, Nauru, and Rarotonga

• Samoa, American Samoa, Papeete, Nuku’alofa, Kiribati
