Further to Swire Shipping efforts to ensure that we are compliant with the IMO2020 regulations, Swire Shipping will changeover fully to the more expensive IMO2020 compliant fuel types in December.
As a result, Swire Shipping wishes to advise that the Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) applicable for Asia Trades for the month of December 2019 will be as follows:
Swire Asia Trades
USD 755 / TEU
USD 1510 / FEU
USD 37.75 / RT (Breakbulk / LCL)
The above surcharge will apply for all consignments showing a Swire Shipping Bill of Lading date of 1 December 2019 or later for connections to/from Asia and:
• East Timor
• New Zealand
• Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands
• The Pacific Islands, including American Samoa, Fiji, Kiribati, Majuro, Nauru, New Caledonia, Nuku’alofa, Papeete, Rarotonga, Samoa, and Vanuatu
Please note that as part of this BAF update, the Low Sulphur Surcharge (LSS) currently being charged in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, will cease to be in effect from 1 December 2019.
