PAST MONTH
Further to the announcements in the recent months, Swire Shipping has continued to take steps to ensure that the vessels we operate will be fully compliant with IMO2020 regulations. In order to accommodate the new VLSFO (Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil), cleaning of the vessels fuel tanks has been underway over the last 2 months, of which is now in the final stages, as is requirement to stem a higher ratio of more expensive IMO2020 compliant fuels.
The vessels operating on the service will be 100% compliant by December 2019.
As a result, Swire Shipping wishes to advise that the Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) applicable on all Northbound cargo from Australia and New Zealand to Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands and Southbound cargo from Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands to Australia has been revised as outlined below.
Revised BAF levels as follows:
USD 818.00 per TEU
USD 1,636.00 per FEU
USD 40.90 per r/t
Effective vessel / voyages:
